The first step in building a brand is creating public awareness for a company, product or service. In political polling, this is often called “name i.d.”
In terms of Brand Awareness, the Democratic candidates generally fall into three tiers.
Four candidates - Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, John Edwards and Barack Obama – rank highest with between 95 to 100 percent of respondents recognizing them enough to form at least an initial impression.
Joe Biden, Christopher Dodd, Bill Richardson, and Wesley Clark are recognized by 75 to 84 percent of respondents.
Finally, less than 65 percent of respondents are familiar with Dennis Kucinich.
