Most voters will tell you that a candidate’s performance or stand on the issues is the most important factor in their decision-making process.  If this is true, Hillary Clinton leads the pack in South Carolina.

When it comes to having the most respect from other countries, preparation to be president, relevant experience, intelligence and having the best plan for the war in Iraq, Clinton is judged to be best by nearly four times that of the other Democratic candidates.  Her average performance score is 43, followed by Obama with 11, potential candidate Al Gore with 10 and John Edwards with nine.  Clinton is particularly strong on “most prepared” and “relevant experience” with scores of 50 and 55 respectively.
