We gauge the personalities of the candidates by looking at attributes such as “trustworthy, interesting, likable, warm and charming and looks presidential.”  Again, Clinton, Obama and Edwards separate themselves from the other candidates.  Obama has an average raw score of 28 on personality attributes.  When negative impressions of the candidate are factored in, Obama’s net score is 26.

Clinton’s raw average is 24, just four points behind Obama.  However, when negative impressions of Clinton are factored in, her net score drops.  Edwards has a raw average of 20; but with fewer negatives than Clinton, he has a net score of 18 to Clinton’s 15.

Obama is far and away the most “interesting” candidate.  Hillary Clinton has a net score of five (as opposed to 31 for high-scorer Obama) on “warm & charming,” – but she is judged to be the “most presidential” of the candidates.
