We turned next to a series of questions to gauge the personalities of the candidates, looking at attributes such as “trustworthy, interesting, likable, warm and charming, and ‘looks presidential.’”
Giuliani again leads the pack. His average score on these attributes is 29 percent, with McCain at 18 percent and Romney at 13 percent.
When we factor in the negatives in this category, Giuliani loses just three points for a net score of 26 percent. McCain falls further behind Giuliani at 10 percent – actually slipping to third behind Romney at 12 percent.
On individual attributes within this category, Giuliani is judged most interesting with a net raw score of 35 percent. He also has the best net scores for likability (34 percent) and warmth and personal charm (31percent). McCain leads net scores for being the most trust worthy (18 percent), while Romney is seen as looking the most presidential raw (21 percent).
